Dr. Kathleen Tavarez has been specializing in orthodontics since 1992. She began her higher education by studying at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating with a Bachelor in Science degree. She then went on to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in addition to a Bachelor in Dentistry Degree. Finally, Dr. Tavarez attended the University of Detroit Mercy where she earned her Specialty Degree and Masters in Orthodontics.

Dr. Tavarez considers it her personal obligation to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care to her patients. Memberships in professional organizations as well as multiple study groups allow Dr.Tavarez to stay on the cutting edge of clinical and technological orthodontic advances so that she can provide her patients the benefits of the most proven and advanced orthodontics.

Dr. Tavarez and her husband, Ray, have two children, Kaitlin and RJ. When not in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
